Every single one of our ingredients passes our 3 tests:

  • Natural test - that the ingredient comes from nature and does not involve chemical or industrial processing.
  • Scientific test - that the ingredient is validated by modern science to be safe and effective in human cosmetics.

Here are the details on each of our ingredients and how we source them.

  • 100% Grass-fed Irish Beef Tallow

    Tallow has been used in cosmetics for over 5000 years due to its high compatibility with our skin. It is the most effective natural moisturiser. Tallow is full of vitamins A, B12, D, E, and K. A unique combination found only in animal-based products.

    For our tallow we use the highest quality beef suet from 100% grass-fed Irish beef. Sourced locally & raised traditionally on local farms using regenerative agriculture practices. This means no grains, antibiotics or hormones are given to cows but also no pesticides and synthetic fertilizers in the soil. Cows raised as nature intended.

    Our beef fat is carefully melted into tallow using our special process to ensure you don't feel the "beefy" smell when using our products. Only the buttery smooth tallow that's great for your skin.

  • Cold-pressed Extra-virgin Olive Oil

    Used as a skincare staple in ancient Greece, Rome and Egypt. Olive oil is highly beneficial for the skin as a powerful antioxidant. It prevents skin ageing and acts as an effective moisturiser. We use high-quality cold-pressed & extra-virgin olive oil. Full of beneficial acids to moisturise and protect the skin. Olive oil is a staple ingredient in our bestseller, Original Tallow & Honey Balm.

  • Organic Castor Oil

    Castor Oil has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It's extremely effective in cleansing, purifying and detoxifying while nourishing the skin. For that reason we use it on our Tallow & Charcoal Cleansing Balm and our Tallow Deodorants.

  • Unheated Raw Irish Honey

    Locally sourced in Ireland. Completely unprocessed, raw and unheated honey is packed with antioxidants and has many benefits in skincare. Honey helps with acne, eczema and many other skin issues by balancing bacteria on the skin.

    The problem with honey in modern cosmetics is similar to food. They use processed honey that has been heated and mixed. But we are different. The honey we use is unheated & raw, Irish and local. It is not processed in any way, just taken out of the bee hive as nature intended.

  • Natural Beeswax

    Humans use beeswax for more than 9000 years in cosmetics and candles. Beeswax acts as an effective skin moisturiser by attracting water molecules. At the same time, it protects the skin from losing retained moisture while being very gentle on the skin. It also helps us achieve that great product consistency.

  • Eggshell Powder

    Natural source of hydroxyapatite (the same thing our teeth are made of) which has shown the ability to remineralize the tooth enamel. Rich in calcium and other bio-available minerals and was used for cleaning teeth by Ancient Egyptians who invented the first toothpaste and the toothbrush. That's why we use eggshells in our tooth powders.
