I love the idea of using a natural product for my facial skin, and tallow seemed like a solid choice. I tried several: whipped, unwhipped, scented, unscented, crazy expensive and (almost) inexpensive. I have never been happy…until now. All the other tallow balms were either way too greasy, smelled horribly (I’m super scent-sensitive and the beefy smell of some tallows made me gag-I had to wipe off a couple of brands), or just really didn’t feel wearable under my mineral makeup. They also greased up my pillow at night, and yes, I do blot off the excess. I recently received my tallow and honey balm from you and I can finally say, THIS IS THE ONE I WILL CONTINUE TO REPURCHASE! The added honey and beeswax give this balm a great non-greasy texture. I use a very small wooden spoon/spatula to scoop out a small pea-sized amount and rub it well between my clean palms to warm it and spread it evenly. Then I gently PAT it all over my face and neck. I do rub it in a tiny bit to make sure it’s spread everywhere, but patting it in works best for me. I let it soak in for 1-5 minutes and then gently blot my face with a soft clean towel. This leaves the perfect amount on my face and my mineral powder foundation goes on perfectly without gunking ot greasing up my brush. My skin looks healthy, hydrated, glowing, and so much younger! It all but erases my fine lines at the outer corners of my eyes. It smells delicious! Not even a hint of the all-too-common fatty, greasy, beefy, buttery scent…it just smells GOOD! I am so very pleased with this product and within a couple of DAYS received a compliment on my skin. It looks fantastic if I do say so myself, and so much younger than my 62 years! I’ve always taken good care of my skin and use natural organic soap and organic oils and essential oils - no chemicals - but this tallow and honey balm has already earned a permanent spot in my routine. It’s just starting to get colder here and I can tell this is going to be amazing this winter! I LOVE that it smells so good AND it’s so nourishing and hydrating WITHOUT the greasiness I’ve experienced with other tallow balms. This stuff is IT! Wow! So impressed! And I love how quickly I received it as well. Two thumbs way up! LOVE IT! ♥️
I have been using the unscented balm (morning and night) for several months now and I absolutely love it. I was worried about breakouts but it hasn’t caused any. It gives my skin the moisture it craves, particularly during colder months and I love that it has all natural ingredients.
I love this product. I feel a difference in my skin already. ❤️
Really love these soaps. Gave a bar to my in-house Physiotherapist she picked Pine Scent. The only issue is it is much larger than most traditional soap dishes. I'd love to see you make these in a 2 inch by 2 inch as I would love to have smaller size for when I go to pool and gym and would like to use when going on holidays rather than their soaps found at hotels. This was worth the wait!

This has been a great moisturizer for my face and hands, but it did nothing for any lines or wrinkles which was a bit disappointing.

I was not surprised to receive such a high-quality soap, as all their other products I have tried have also far exceeded my expectations as well. The bar itself is very dense, indicating its high-quality, so I imagine that it will last a while. The scent is amazing, and matching the deodorant perfectly. The scent after washing is faint on the skin but lovely in the shower. The lather is a velvety, micro-foam that feels luxurious and nourishing but leaves the skin feeling clean, not greasy. I am really hoping this is a product that will be kept in stock for years so I do not have to attempt to find a replacement, as I doubt I would be able to..
I have been using it the balm for a while now and it does wonders to my skin. Love the texture , the feeling I get after using it. Part of my routine for a long time and I hope it stays as ethically as it is now.
The scent is lovely; the texture is very smooth and easy to apply. This balm doubles as perfume for me and a little goes a long way with the amount used and the scent lingering.
Honey and balm cream is absolutely the best ever . Really smells lovely and just a little bit needed to melt into skin and it spreads great then . Leaves my skin feeling soft and I will be continuing to buy this going forward . Great price and great service . Had it delivered within 2 days of ordering and I really wish this company the very best with all their products as they are very nice to deal with ., I will be trying out more of the products for sure .

I was one of the first to order these soaps. I held off using them until I was focused. I thought it might be a great replacement for a face cleanser. On day two I was rushed so I washed my face with it and forgot to add my Tallow and Honey balm but.... my face remained soft and hydrated despite the cold wind. AMAZING! I cannot wait to use it in the shower.
I find the name 'Dry Oil' an oxymoron but it really is DRY as an Oil. I love how easily it smooths on and absorbs without being greasy/oily. I ma finding the moisturization lasts longer than a few hours like a lotion.
Been using this for about 2 months and it has helped so much with my eczema but also a fantastic face cream. It gives so much moisture i love it.
Love the tallow & honey . Got the face balm( find it harder to use than the body one) but still love it..Just going to order more body one as we speak…
As long as you guys stay true to the natural ingredients I will always buy.

Before I knew about Ancestral Cosmetics, I’d tried all sorts of different grass fed beef tallow creams from Amazon and other companies, not a single one compares. When I first tried this product, I was so surprised and impressed with the texture and consistency of it. So smooth and silky with a gorgeous scent. It genuinely made me question all the other products that I had tried and wondered if there was even any beef tallow in them.
Anyway… highly recommend this product, it is amazing, completely natural, and will never be using anything else on my face. Thank you for creating something so perfect!
