Eggshell Powder is a natural source of hydroxyapatite (the same thing our teeth are made of) which has shown the ability to remineralize the tooth enamel. Rich in calcium and other bio-available minerals and has been used for cleaning teeth for thousands of years. Ancient Egyptians (who invented the first toothpaste and the toothbrush) were one of the old civilisations that used eggshells in their tooth products.
Diatomaceous Earth is a miraculous ingredient that has a potent ability to detoxify fluoride, aluminium and heavy metals from your body. It's a natural source of silica that is found naturally in our teeth, bones, ligaments and nails. It is effective in removing harmful bacteria which build plaque on our teeth and causes teeth discolouration. Silica can also improve gum health and decrease teeth sensitivity.
Birch Xylitol (not to be confused with corn xylitol) is natural sugar extracted from birch trees. It helps to create an alkaline environment in the mouth and decreases the presence of acid-producing bacteria which decreases plaque. It's highly beneficial in repairing damaged enamel and teeth remineralization.
Peppermint Leaf Powder is full of potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron and phosphorous that work together to help fortify enamel and strengthen teeth & gums.

How to use it?

Dip wet toothbrush into the powder, shake the excess powder then gently brush your teeth. You only need a small amount of tooth powder.
Gently brush your teeth for 2 minutes, add a bit of water then gargle for 10 seconds to clean the mouth and pull toxins. Spit and rinse a few times.

What is the difference between Peppermint and Charcoal Tooth Powder?
The main difference between our tooth powders is that Eggshell & Peppermint Tooth Powder doesn't contain activated charcoal and bentonite clay making it easier and less messy to use.
It’s the perfect everyday tooth powder for most people that will effectively clean the teeth and provide all the benefits from the natural ingredients it contains.

When should I use tooth powder?
We recommend using the tooth powder instead of your usual toothpaste. You can brush your teeth with our tooth powder once per day, two times per day or as often as you prefer.
Some people find they don’t need to brush as often with tooth powder and we recommend trying it and finding what works best for you.
Can I use both tooth powders together?
Yes, it’s perfectly fine to use both tooth powders interchangeably.
Eggshell & Peppermint tooth powder is great for a quick and convenient daily teeth wash while Remineralising & Whitening Tooth Powder provides that deep cleaning and natural whitening.
Is tooth powder suitable for kids?
Yes, as long as the kids are old enough to spit it out after brushing. Eggshell & Peppermint Tooth Powder may be better for kids as it’s easier to use and has a pleasant peppermint taste kids may prefer.
Can I use tooth powder if I have veneers and crowns?
None of our tooth powders are tested to be used on veneers or ceramic crowns. We wouldn’t recommend using them on anything but natural teeth.
Which tooth powder is better for whitening teeth?
Remineralising & Whitening Tooth Powder is the way to go if you want a whitening effect. This is due to added activated coconut charcoal and its natural whitening abilities.
Is tooth powder abrasive on tooth enamel?
No. For a material to be abrasive against another material it needs to be harder. This is measured by MOHS scale of hardness which assigns each mineral a hardness score from 1 being softer to 10 being the hardest. Harder material can scratch the softer while softer material cannot physically scratch the harder one.
The main ingredient in our tooth powders is eggshell powder. Chichen egg shell is made from more than 90% calcium which is a family of minerals called calcite. MOHS scale of hardness assigns level 3 to calcite which is on the softer side of minerals measured.
Our teeth are made from a mineral called hydroxyapatite which is part of the apatite mineral family that carries level 5 hardness per MOHS scale. This makes our teeth considerably stronger than eggshells meaning they cannot be abrasive to the tooth enamel.
Similar comparisons can be made for other ingredients in our tooth powders which are all-natural, used in teeth care for thousands of years and validated by modern science to be effective in teeth cleaning, whitening or remineralization.
Why your tooth powders don’t contain hydroxyapatite?
Most hydroxyapatite on the market today are in nanoparticles making them questionable for long-term health due to the possibility that they affect organs and cause inflammations. This is why we decided to use a natural source of hydroxyapatite (aka eggshell powder) making it effective for teeth remineralization but without the negative effects of nanoparticles.
Will toothpowder remineralize my teeth?
Our tooth powders are not tested for their remineralising properties so we can’t claim they can remineralize teeth.
Research done on eggshells has found that eggshell powder based toothpaste can remineralise teeth effectively to a level comparable to that of commercial nano-hydroxyapatite toothpaste.
Many of our customers reported less teeth sensitivity which is usually the first step towards teeth remineralisation.
