How to use it?

Take a small amount and gently melt it into your clean skin whenever your skin feels dry.

Our Original tallow & honey balm is super concentrated & without fillers so you only need a very small amount. The standard 60ml (2oz) jar will last you several months with daily use.

Some people use it twice per day while others use it once every few days. You can use this balm on any part of your body or face.

Store the jar in a dry cold place, away from direct sunlight.

How to use it?

After cleansing apply a small amount of Clarifying Cream to the face and neck. Allow to absorb.

Use Clarifying Cream as a last step of your skincare routine, over any other water serums or lighter oils.

We recommend using the Clarifying Cream once or twice per day.

How to use it?

Daily use:

Melt a generous amount into the dry skin and massage it gently for 30-60 seconds. Wet a clean cloth with warm water and place it over your face for 10 seconds. Wipe the residue gently with the cloth. Repeat if necessary until your face is clean.

Apply only to dry skin with dry hands.

Can be used daily, preferably in the evening before applying other skin products. Follow up with our Clarifying Cream or Original Tallow & Honey Balm.

As a weekly detox mask:

The cleansing balm can be used as a detoxifying mask no more than once per week. Apply liberally to dry skin and massage it gently for 60 seconds. Leave it up to 10 minutes on the skin.

Wet a clean cloth with warm water and place it over your face. Leave it for 60 seconds. Take another clean cloth, wet it with warm water and wipe off the excess oils and impurities. Repeat if necessary until clean. Follow up with our Clarifying Cream or Original Tallow & Honey Balm.

Store the jar in a dry cold place, away from direct sunlight.

Recommend to all of my family

I use the regular honey tallow and I grabbed the sensitive one for my baby before he was born and boy was I glad I did! He developed full body baby acne 1 day after he was born (a normal reaction), but all the hospital staff said to do was put my breast milk on his skin (which I was). I got home and finally put the baby tallow on him after a few days of his skin just getting worse/no change and it cleared COMPLETELY in 3-4 days. I love the scent for him (not too strong but just reminds me of a baby) and his skin absolutely loves it! I use on his face/body and as a diaper balm, would love to see Ancestral Cosmetics come out with a baby whipped version!. This and tubby Tod are the only things I will put on my baby, I recommend to all my coworkers and family members (coming from an ER nurse myself)!

Super rich and moisturising balm

I never usually respond to viral adverts on social media, but as a 60 year old with dry skin, I was impressed by the idea of a rich, but simple product using animal fats and honey, rather than chemically produced concoctions. I bought it and tried it. First time I put it on my skin it felt lovely. It’s best to rub it in your hand first to soften it up as it then goes on better. My skin felt moisturised until the next morning. It smells gorgeous and dos what it sets out to do. My skin has not felt this supple in years and I use it twice a day. After going through literally dozens of products, I have found my face balm. Thanks for persevering - You’re worth it!!

I’m comfortable in my skin again!

After having my daughter two years ago, I’ve struggled with rosacea issues on my face, particularly on my eye lids. It would get so uncomfortable I’d be driven mad with dryness and itchiness. What a difference a month (and ancestral cosmetics) can make! I’ve been using the clarifying duo and tallow balm and have noticed a massive change in the texture and hydration of my skin. I get flare ups of dermatitis on my scalp, hairline, behind and in my ears which makes my skin so itchy, sore and dry. No other cream has provided the same relief as this tallow. I really am so glad I bought it. My ears five days ago were flaking, red raw and painful. WOW!

I suddenly developed severe itching, blisters and swelling on my left hand around 6 months ago. Like most people, I tried EVERYTHING to alleviate the discomfort but nothing worked at all. The pain and itch was truly life limiting and I couldn't use my hand and couldn't sleep. Well, Ancestral Cosmetics Tallow and Honey Balm Ad popped up on Facebook and I decided to make an order (hopeful, but completely believing it was just another product to try that wouldn't work). Well, one week of use and the itch, swelling and blisters are gone. I am putting this positive change soley down to using the balm. I'm shocked! Absolutely love it!

I have deep forehead lines and did not want to try Botox. I have tried other moisturizers and they always broke my face out. This did not break me out and my forehead lines are not as noticeable. I absolutely love this cream.

Excellent product - and it’s Irish!

This balm melts beautifully into my skin. Moisturisers often leave my skin shiny and red and that never happens with this balm.
It looks great under make up too. A little definitely goes a long way so it’s great value for money.

Trusted Tallow

I’ve tried a few……but none as good as this! The veil has been lifted for many years on harsh chemicals in all products for cosmetics and even cleaning products, so I’ve made it my mission to use only natural products. I’m 74.5 and lucky enough to have very good skin but Ancestral Tallow has improved it further. My face never feels taught or dry, just soft and dewy, it’s definitely a keeper!

I bought loose charcoal from another brand. This balm is great as it’s easier to use than the loose particles due to the balm. Nice and easy to use. Feel fresh after using it. Will buy again when needed.
