Cold-Pressed Extra-Virgin Olive Oil has been used for thousands of years in sun care and to this day, half of the Mediterranean people will cover themselves in olive oil for tanning purposes.
Olive oil attracts and concentrates UV rays onto the skin, triggering melanocytes to produce more melanin. The more melanin, the deeper the tan. It contains antioxidants, including Vitamin E and polyphenols, which help keep the skin moisturized and protected.
Carrot Juice Extract is a true beta-carotene powerhouse. It is packed with vitamin A and E and, in combination with oils, help the skin produce more melanin and keeps it longer in the outer layers of the skin.
This helps to tan faster and keeps the tan for longer. It is a strong antioxidant rich in carotenoids giving the skin a nice bronzed look.
Argan Oil is precious and nourishing oil with many benefits for the skin. Abundant in vitamins A and E, antioxidants, fatty acids and linoleic acid. Nourishes and moisturises the skin while tocopherol from the Vitamin E in the oil helps to boost cell production.
Almond & Hazelnut Oils are oils originally used in the Mediterranean for hundreds of years for different purposes including skin care. They are nourishing and hydrating, rich in Vitamin E and antioxidants offering skin protection and hydration.
Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that can stop or reverse the damage that free radicals cause to cells in our skin. The body stores vitamin E in the skin in both the outer epidermis and the deeper dermis layers and applying it on the skin means higher protection and reduced inflammation. It acts as an additional boost to our oils and offers skin protection while tanning.

Why should I use Tanning Oil while tanning?
Tanning oil is made to be used during tanning to speed up the tanning process so you get a nice natural sun tan faster. It also helps the skin to adjust to the tanning process faster so it’s ideal if just starting natural tanning.
The best way to start and adjust to the sun is to tan early in the morning and in the afternoon when the sun is not too strong.
Will Tanning Oil make me bronzed?
Our Tanning Oil has no colouring whatsoever and will not make skin bronzed. It will give a light golden glow on the skin that comes from carrot extract and will go away after the oil is absorbed into the skin.
When to use Tanning Oil?
Use it before tanning and sun exposure. Spray it abundantly into the skin, massage it until absorbed and enjoy tanning. Reapply as needed and as often as you want.
Can I use it with Sun Balm?
Yes, you can combine and layer Sun Balm and Tanning Oil.
If tanning is your priority, apply Tanning Oil first and after appropriate tanning time (according to your personal sun tolerance) apply Sun Balm for protection.
If in a strong sun and want to protect your skin from sunburn, apply Sun Balm first and let it absorb into the skin. Then apply Tanning Oil over Sun Balm.
Does it offer SPF protection?
No, our tanning oil has no SPF and offers no sun protection at all. It is formulated to speed up the tanning process and will not protect against UV rays. If you need protection when in the strong sun, we recommend using hats and light clothing in combination with Sun Balm.
Can I use it as a body lotion?
Yes, you can use it after tanning as a body lotion or moisturizer though it is best when used as tanning oil.
For calming the skin after sun exposure we recommend Original Tallow & Honey Balm as tallow is soothing and moisturising and will nourish skin.

I used to struggle to get tan staying after the few days, I get red from sun and then go back to pale but this tanning oil seems to help to turn my tan into light brownish colour.
